Mini Implants

Mini implants are viable alternatives for dental restoration. These are small titanium appliances implanted in the gum, with a screw at one end and a knob on the other. They generally function the same way as regular implants, but are more affordable.

These are half the size of regular dental implants – part of the reason behind its affordability. The time it takes for the procedure is also considerably shorter because it isn’t as invasive. These appliances do not require stitches and recovery. You can walk into the clinic in the morning and are good to go soon after; you can even eat solid foods on the same day.

This treatment is ideal for patients with excessive bone loss. Restoration with full dental implants is not possible if you experience this condition. Its size also makes it easier to place in difficult regions inside the mouth. We use this procedure especially for cases involving only single tooth replacements. It is also a great choice for steadying your existing dentures that no longer fit very well. This procedure stabilizes the lower denture and eliminates discomforts associated with ill fits and movement.

Of course, mini implants have limitations. These are not the right solution for all cases. This solution only works for the lower arch, as they do not integrate as well on the upper arch. These also aren’t for use with non-removable dentures.
